This scarf was designed by Australian artist John Klein.
John Klein is a contemporary Australian artist who has been engaged in creative pursuits his entire career. His love for the visual arts has seen him drawn to the mediums of film, photography and painting. He is a Doug Moran National Portrait Prize finalist (2017) and Kennedy Prize finalist (2018).
About the scarf
Size: 200 cm x 70 cm.
Fabric: Viscose and Modal blended to create the softest scarf you will ever wear. The material is a 100% natural fibre sourced from different woods so it is breathable, warm and yet will not overheat.
More details: Lightweight design, easy to carry around, rectangle shape, hand designed by a real artist. All scarves come in a gift box.
How to wash me: Wash by hand in mild detergent and dry flat, out of direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
About the artwork
This work is a celebration of Australian native flowers displayed in an Art Nouveau vase featuring a highly idealised form of a woman. I have placed the subject in a desert landscape contrasting the green of the flora with the scorched earth of the desert.
