JOHN KLEIN

John Klein is an Australian artist based in Sydney. With a background in film and television, arts management and marketing, John
has been engaged in creative pursuits for his entire career. Although he didn’t start to exhibit his work until 2012, he has always
been passionate about painting. John regularly employs the use of strong colour and draws inspiration largely from nature with
birds, animals and flowers featuring heavily in his work.
John regularly stages solo exhibitions, participates in group shows and has been a finalist in the Mosman, Hornsby, Lethbridge, Hunters Hill and Kennedy Art Prizes to name a few. He was a semi-finalist in the highly competitive Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 2017. His paintings are held in private collections in Italy, France, Germany, USA, United Kingdom and throughout Australia.
